Hutchison & Steffen Partner Sid Kistler secured a key judgment in favor of the firm's clients in a highly contested dispute among members of a limited liability company. Hutchison & Steffen’s client had been accused of fraudulently inducing other members of an LLC to invest in a development project and also breaching his fiduciary duties as manager.  In a trial lasting four weeks, the Court found that the client engaged in no improper behavior, made no fraudulent statements, and even awarded Hutchison & Steffen’s client monetary damages for defamation on claims against some of the the LLC members who sued the client.
