Hutchison Approves Amended Complaint Filing for State of Nevada

05/12/2010

WHAT: Recently appointed “lead special counsel” on an all-volunteer legal team for the state of Nevada, attorney and firm co-founder and senior partner, Mark Hutchison, will file the approve the filing of the first legal pleading for Nevada by way of an amended complaint, and thus Nevada will join nearly half the country (21 other states) in a multi-jurisdictional lawsuit against the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services to challenge the constitutionality and block implementation of the health care bill enacted by the Obama administration.

WHO: Mark Hutchison is a native Nevadan, and co-founder and senior partner of Hutchison & Steffen, a Martindale-Hubbell® AV-rated law firm. The firm provides a wide variety of legal services, including business and commercial litigation, fiduciary litigation, appellate litigation, insurance litigation, landlord/tenant law, healthcare professionals advocacy, professional liability defense, alternative dispute resolution, personal injury, creditor’s rights, construction law, employment law, asset protection and business planning, real estate law, corporate and transactional law, family law, and administrative law. Visit www.hutchlegal.com for more info.

WHERE: The amended complaint will be filed electronically with the United States District Court in the Northern District of Florida/Pensacola Division, where the case originates.

WHEN: The amended complaint filing will take place on Friday, May 14, 2010.

WHY: This event is of particular importance to the state of Nevada and all Nevadans. Should the health care act be upheld and enforced on Nevada, it could impose countless fines and drop another $600M in Medicaid and other costs onto Nevada’s taxpayers, an already burdened economy. The media is encouraged to help educate the public on this important issue. Hutchison will be available for media interviews this week.
