Associates John Gutke and Kevin Sutehall Named Mountain States Super Lawyer Rising Stars

LAS VEGAS – Hutchison & Steffen LLC announced today that associates John H. Gutke and Kevin M. Sutehall have been named 2009 Mountain States Rising Stars, which is a part of the prestigious annual Super Lawyers list. Gutke practices primarily in business and commercial litigation, healthcare professionals advocacy, corporate and transactional law, and real estate. Sutehall has focused his growing practice on business and commercial litigation.

Gutke earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He was the recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship for academic excellence and graduated toward the top of his class. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, and a master of science degree, magna cum laude, both in economics, from Utah State University. Prior to joining the Firm, he completed a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez, Presiding Civil and Business Court Judge in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas.

Sutehall is a graduate of the University of Washington where he earned a degree in accounting, and was named to the dean’s list on multiple occasions. He earned his law degree at Boston University School of Law and was named articles editor for the prestigious Annual Review of Banking Law his third year. While in law school, he also served as a mentor to inner-city middle school youth and as an accounting intern at Ernest and Young.
