BIOGRAPHY

M. Courtney Christopher is a partner with the Firm and focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense and healthcare law. Courtney has extensive experience representing hospitals, nurses, physicians, and long-term care facilities in both Las Vegas and Reno.

Courtney was born and raised in Fulton, Missouri. In 2003, she moved to Las Vegas to attend University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. While attending law school, she gained valuable experience working as a Law Clerk for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office and as a Judicial Clerk for Honorable Judge Nancy Oesterle, Las Vegas Justice Court. Prior to joining Hutchison & Steffen, Courtney was a partner at a large civil defense firm, where she worked for nine years. Thereafter, she was a partner at a regional civil defense firm, where she worked for two years.

Courtney has broad experience litigating cases from commencement of the action through trial. In addition to working on civil litigation matters, Courtney regularly represents professionals before their respective licensing boards.

When she is not practicing law, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
