Biography
Jessica S. Taylor is an associate of the Firm, practicing primarily in medical malpractice, healthcare professionals advocacy, administrative law, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. She was admitted to practice law in Nevada in October 2008.
As a San Diego native, Jessica attended San Diego State University and graduated in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with distinction. Thereafter, she attended William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2008, graduating cum laude.
While in law school, Jessica became a member of the professional law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. During her law school career, Jessica was a member of the Dean’s List and won several awards in Advanced Advocacy: Advanced Pleadings and Motions, Trial Advocacy, and Pretrial Litigation.
Prior to joining Hutchison & Steffen, Jessica served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Valorie J. Vega of the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada. She also worked with a prominent local firm as both a law clerk and an associate attorney.
Jessica also has appellate litigation experience. The foregoing includes successful resolution of a professional negligence action in which the Nevada Supreme Court upheld dismissal of her client, finding that quasi-judicial immunity extends to court-appointed polygraph examiners.
Personal Background
When away from the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. She also enjoys traveling, running, and photography.
