Biography
Jared R. Owens is an associate in the Firm's litigation department, practicing in the areas of business and commercial litigation and insurance defense. He is a member of the Nevada State Bar and the Arizona State Bar.
Originally from Heber, Arizona, Jared received his Bachelor's Degree in Government, magna cum laude, from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 2006. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Jared was an intern for a United States Congressman.
Jared then went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Michael E. Moritz School of Law at The Ohio State University in 2009. During law school, Jared was an Associate Editor for the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal and received recognition from the Internal Revenue Service for his work with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
Jared served as an extern to the Honorable Terence P. Kemp at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Jared also served as a law clerk at the Ohio Court of Claims for retired Ohio Supreme Court Justice J. Craig Wright as well as retired Ohio Court of Appeals Judges Joseph P. Clark and Clark B. Weaver, Sr. After finishing law school, Jared was a law clerk for the Honorable Valerie P. Adair in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County, Nevada.
Personal Background
In his free time, Jared enjoys spending time with his wife and his two sons and loves being outdoors. He also enjoys politics, traveling, and watching college sports.
