Biography
David W. Gutke is an associate in the Firm’s litigation department, practicing primarily in employment law, real estate litigation, and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Nevada State Bar.
David is originally from Logan, Utah, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Utah State University in 2001. David then went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Utah in 2005.
David handles a myriad of employment matters, including counseling clients regarding compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, worker’s compensation laws, fair labor standards, and wage & hours laws. David has considerable experience defending discrimination charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission (NERC).
David represents clients before a number of other administrative bodies, such as the Nevada Labor Commission, unemployment appeals with the Nevada Employment Security Division, and ethics complaints before the Nevada Ethics Commission. David also litigates wrongful termination and employment related lawsuits in both state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitrations. David’s litigation experience includes numerous cases involving real estate and title disputes, product defects, breach of contract, and personal injury.
Personal Background
In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing golf, and volunteering as a Scout leader.
